Halo Infinite’s Fracture: Tenrai event is live now: here’s how it works

Halo Infinite's first event, Fracture: Tenrai, began on November 23 and will run for one week. Fracture: Tenrai will return several times throughout Season 1, so don't worry if you can't unlock everything from the Yoroi armor set in one week. In fact, 343 has said you definitely won't be able to work your way through the whole event pass in one go, so take note of the future dates that Fracture: Tenrai's been announced to return below.

Here's a full rundown of all the cosmetics from the event pass, as well as when it's playable and which game modes are here for a limited time as part of the event.

Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai start time

The Fracture: Tenrai event begins on November 23 and will end on November 30. It will have a separate event pass for rewards that will run concurrently with the regular and premium battle pass. The event pass is free and is available for all Halo Infinite players. More information about other upcoming events is coming when Halo Infinite launches on December 8.

The event pass—which is 100% free—will net you stuff on 30 different tiers. However, 343 Industries has put a weekly progression limit on it, so you won't be able to unlock everything on this go around.  Instead, you'll have to return for future instances of the event to grab up everything on offer.

Specifically, you'll be able to get your hands on the Yoroi armor set, inspired by Japanese traditional armors, along with some other goodies like XP boosts and weapon skins.

Scroll through the images above to see the full range of unlocks.

If you were hoping to blast through the event pass to get the armor more quickly by buying tier skips, though, that's not an option. 343 notes that “while you can use challenge swaps for Event challenges, players can't purchase tier skips for the Event Pass.”

What game modes are in the event?

We hope you like Slayer, because the Fiesta playlist launched alongside the event is a giant pile of Slayer-only on a variety of maps. You'll also be experiencing the Fiesta game mode, where you can expect to end up with random weapons and equipment each respawn. Cross your fingers, watch for Active Camouflage and Overshield powerups, and press the advantage when the other team is down a player or two.

While you're waiting to join a match, why not customise your Xbox controller settings? You can also read about what the PC Gamer team thinks of Halo Infinite Multiplayer if things get really slow.
